U.S. SUBMARINES EN PACIFIC
27 JAPANESE SHIPS ACCOUNTED FOR
WASHINGTON, Nov. 26. A navy communique says United States submarines report the sinking of the" following 27 vessels in Pacific waters:—One destroyer, one converted gunboat, one large transport, one large tanker, one large cargo transport, two medium tankers, two medium cargo transports, 11 medium cargo vessels, one small tanker, and six small cargo vessels. These actions were not announced previously. A Netherlands submarine .operating under American control sank 4,500 tons of enemy shipping in Netherlands East Indian waters.
