BRIDGE IN THAILAND
SERIOUSLY DAMAGED BY U.S. BOMBERS
(Rec. 8 a.m.) KANDY, November 3. United States .Liberators on Wednesday made a 13 hours' flight to bomb an important. railway bridge at Dara, in Thailand,' reports an Associated Press correspondent. Just before dusk they swept in at a height of only 300 feet and caused heavy damage to a threespan bridge 750 feet in-length. Dara is 284 miles north of Bangkok. The damage to the bridge will force the Japanese to ferry cargoes across the wide Me Nam River, causing serious interference to their traffic for Eastern Burma and Northern Thailand;
