Clockwork, Countless and Pacing Power moved up down the back. With a furlong and a-half to go Gold Bar was still two and a-half lengths in front from Haughty, Countless, and Pacing Power. Haughty led into the straight from Pacing "Power, Integrity, and Bronze Eagle In a great finish, Bronze Eagle raced strongly to win narrowly from Integrity, which also came with a .tremendous run. Pacing Power held on for third money ahead of Countless.
