To the stall of tho only retail fruiterer in Covent Garden Market (says the 'Telegraph, and Argus') bustled, a uniformed hotel messenger. ■ '''; " I—er--would like the King'6 orange ration," he began. "Which King?" demanded the manager sarcastically. " King George of the Hellenes." he replied. " Got his ration book?" he asked.
It was produced. "It was just an ordinary ration bookissued to. George 11., King of the Hellenes, with some of the points and sweets and clothing coupons used," the manager told mo (says a 'Daily Sketch ' correspondent). " I let him have lib of oranges, which was our ration for everybody,"-
