DEATH FROM HEART ATTACK RUGBY, July 10. The death is announced of Captain F. J. Walker, who had the rare honour of being awarded the D.S.O. four times, as well as being a Companion of the Order of the Bath. His death robbed the Royal Navy of one of the most outstanding figures in the Battle of the Atlantic and the campaign against U-Jboats. Ships .under, his command sank a total of 20 U-iboats. Of these 15 were destroyed by ships of the famous second escort group, of which Captain Walker was senior officer. The,most brilliant of his recent engagements >vas a 20-day patrol in the North Atlantic, which resulted in the destruction of six .-utTpy submarines.
