THREE AWARDS y TWO POSTHUMOUS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 11. Advice has been received by the Hon. F. Jones from the Admiralty that the King has approved of posthumous mention in despatches of Temp. Sub-lieu-tenant (A) Robert Arthur Cranwell, R.N.Z.N.V.R., for good services in an attack on enemy shipping. He is reported missing, presumed killed. His father is Mr Arthur H. Cranwell, Auckland. Temporary Lieutenant (A) Courtney St. George and Temporary Sub-lieu-tenant Stanley William Edney are also mentioned in despatches for good service in an attack on enemy shipping. St. George is still serving on loan to the Royal Navy, and his next of kin is his mother, Mrs H. J. St. George, Remuera. Kdney was reported mining, presumed killed, as the result of an aircraft accident at sea. He was married in the United States in 1941. His next of kin in New Zealand is his mother. Mrs S..M. Edney.
