DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY
TWO CALLS SUSTAINED A meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery was held on Tuesday when a call was sustained from the Kaikorai congregation to the Rev. A. R. Harper, formerly of Owaka and Tiniaru. The call was well signed, and was supported by Messrs G. Swan and J. Graham, who addressed the Presbytery. It was agreed that the induction service should take place in the Kaikorai Church on Tuesday, May 23. The Moderator of the Presbytery, the Rev. R. T. Dodds, will preside and induct, the Rev. L. Jones will preach, and the Rev. S. D. Baird will address the minister and the congregation. The Presbytery also dealt with a call from the Qiieenstown congregation to the Rev. Peter Anderson, formerly chaplain of John McGlashan College. Correspondence was received from the Presbytery of Central Otago concerning the call, which was supported by the Rev. C. M. Sullivan, on behalf of that Presbytery. Mr Anderson accented the call, and the Moderator and a number of members of the Presbytery conveyed to him and Mrs Anderson good wishes on taking up their new charge. Mi Anderson will be inducted at Queenstown on Wednesday, May 17.
