An enjoyable concert programme was rendered at Green Island last evening by members of Mr J. Leech's choir, in aid of funds for the local soldiers' farewell committee, the Foresters' Hall being well filled. Items by the following were well received: —Songs—(Misses Shirley Payne, Joan de Crewe, Doris Adcock, Mrs \V. J. Forman, Mrs H. Smith, Mr W Armstrong; duets, Miss Shirley Payne and Evelyn Ramage; humorous items, Mrs Heather Smith and Mrs Sylvia Lawrence; cornet soles, Mr. Ralph Francis; piano duets, Misses Olive and Ellice 'Neifer. Mr T. M. McAhon presided, and the mayor, Mr G. A. Orange, thanked the performers.
