ALLIED PLANE PRODUCTION LONDON, May 8. England and America, with the rest of the Empire produced 127,020 planes last year, said Mr A. V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, in n. speech at Sheffield. "The hourly production last year averaged 14£ planes, as well as nine army gun equipments, nearly 106,000 rounds of army gun am ■ munition, and nearly 3,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition." Mr Alexander said that Britain's plane production every hour since tho outbreak of war was two and a-half planes. Dozens of convoys last year reached Russia with millions of tons of cargo, thousands of planes and tanks, and tens of thousands of vehicles.
