MR CHURCHILL
EXPECTED TD VISIT AUSTRALIA IMPORTANT CONFERENCE ON WAR AGAINST JAPAN (Rec. 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, May 8. The announcement of Mr Churchill's acceptance of the Australian invitation to visit the Commonwealth after the European war is expected shortly, says the ' Daily Telegraph's' political correspondent. .The visit will be part of the plan to hold an important war conference, which has already received preliminary consideration in • London, dominion capitals, and Washington. The object of the conferencevwill be to complete plans for the final phase of the war against Japan. . It is hoped that other dominion Premiers and the President or some other representative of the United States will participate in the conference, which will be similar in scope.,gnd purpose to last year's important war consultation at Quebec, which was attended by ail the leading service chiefs.
