SUPPLIES TO GERMANY MAY BE CUT (Rec. i:3O p.m.) LONDOiN, May 8. Negotiations between the British and Portuguese Governments for the stoppage or at least a substantial reduction in wdf'fraim exports from Portugal to Germany are now in full swing, says the ' Daily Telegraph's ' diplomatic correspondent. There are good hopes that the British are achieving concrete results. Preliminary conversations in Lisbon began while the negotiations with Spain were still going on.
