Jn the payment of rates for the year ended March 31 the citizens of Dunedin have achieved a record. The rates struck totalled £368.031, and by March 31 £361,231 had been collected, leaving £6,753 outstanding, which represents 1.8 per cent. The percentage of rates paid at the end of the financial year was the highest in the history of the City Corporation, said the city treasurer (Mr H. H. Henderson).
