EX-DUNEDIN NAVALS
The annual' meeting of the Ex-Dunedin Naval Artillery Association was held last week. The president, Mr W. T. Milward, was in the chair, and 30 members were present. Mr Milward referred to the death of Mr R. McKinlay (1877) and Mr F. Silvus (1885), and a motion of sympathy with the relatives was passed. - The balance sheet and report showed the affairs of the association to be in a sound position. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Dr W. Newlands; honorary vice-president. Mr G. Nauman; president, Mr H. G. Dougherty; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Porter, sen., and Charles Riddell, jun.; auditor, Mr P. Beaumont; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Baird; trustees, Messrs J. Turner and A. W. Palmer; pianist, Mr P. Beaumont; committee—Messrs G. Garbutt, W. Henry. B. Power, M. Caddie, G. Mitchell', F. N. Smith, F. Moir. v It was decided to hold the annual reunion early in September. Arrangements for the Indies' night were left to the new committee.
