When the day arrives for starting the invasion every soldier may i be assured that his weapons,, ammunition, tanks, and vehicles are superior, or at least equal to the enemy's, states the Chief Ordnance Officer of the United States Forces, Brigadier-general Henry Sayler, in a report issued through tho American forces newspaper ' Stars and Stripes.' He adds: " Huge quantities of guns, weapons, and ammunition are stored in ordnance depots in Britain. Arrangements have already been completed whereby an endless stream of ordnance supplies will flow to the invasion forces. Some of the ordnance will be going into action for the first time.. We have no secret weapon, but we have the finest artillery and ammunition, with higher explosive charges, and small arms with a better performance than the enemy has yet used."
