OBITUARY

MR WALTER STRANG , The death occurred yesterday, at his home at' Norfolk street, St. Clair, of Mr Walter Wilson Strang, aged 56 years, who " was well known in sporting circles. A returned soldier of the last war, Mr Strang joined up with the local battalion 0 of the National Military Reserve' during "the present war, gaining a commission after that unit was mobilised for home defence. He played Rugby for the Kaikorai Club, being half-back of the senior side for some vears and a very fit player. For many years he was also a member of the Dunedin Cricket Club, and represented the province. Of recent years lie had played golf with the fit. Clair Golf Club."
