AMALGAMATED-WIRELESS YEAR. The annual report of Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia) Ltd. for the year ended June 30, 1943, and presented at the annual meeting in Sydney on December 29, states that the net profit earned during the year was £133,542 6s 4d. After allowing for £3,613 17s 9d brought forward from the previous year, also payment of the interim dividend in May last, there remained a credit balance in the profit and loss account at June 30 of £99,345 Is 9d. The directors declared a dial half-year s dividend of 4 per cent., paid on November li, 1943, amounting to £39,420 14s sd, making the total distribution of' 8 per cent, for the financial- year.' A further sum ot -, £50,000 had been allocated to the general reserve, leaving a balance .of £9,924 7s 4d to be carried forward to the next account. During the year the final 2s per share on the contributing shares was called up, increasing paid capital by- £80.412. The amount reserved or written off for depreciation during the year was £9i,oo*.
