HOW JAPAN FIGHTS
BOATS RAMMED WHEN SHIP SINKS (Rec. 11.40 a.m.) NJDW DELHI, January 7. Sixteen British and Indian merchant seamen have reached shore, the survivors of a crew of 72, many of whom were drowned when a Japanese submarine rammed their 'boats after sinking the freighted off the Indian coast. One survivor said the submarine after sinking the ship began methodically ramming and machine-gunning the men in the boats and on the rafts.
