S§UTK ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS Progress in the South Island croquet championships, which were continued yesterday afternoon oh the Watea and Leitb lawns, reached the stage of 50 games being completed and a commencement being made with the open championship. The lawns were again in excellent order, anc the matches were watched by large galleries afc both lawns.
