OBITUARY
M JOHN WRIGHT The death occurred on, Saturday of a * prominent resident of Mosgiel, Mr .John Wright His passing causes much regret, as he was in every way a worthy citizen. Just over two weeks ago be was carrying on hjs business as usual, so that the call was fairly sudden. Much' sympathy goes forth froni a wide circle of friends to . the bereaved widow and family. Sonie years back Mr Wright was a member of ihe Mosgiel Borough Council, serving as Chairman of Works. In this capacity he. supervised much of ihe council's activities wjth credit to- himself and benefit to the borough. He also rendered good service on the Mosciel District High School Committee. The funeral took place yesterday, and was largelv attended. The cortage included the Loyal Mosgiel Lodge of Oddfellows, which the deceased had been a member. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and one son, ,who is serving in the Forces overseas.
