SICK AND ACCIDENT SOCIETY
CORPORATION TRAMWAYMEN The twenty-eighth annual general meeting of the Dunedin City Corporation Tramways Employees' Sick and Accident Society was presided over by Mr P. J. Munn. The committee -reported that the year commenced with 360 and closed with "376 active members, including 56 women. Sixtyseven new members joined during the year. Commencing with a cash balance of £230 lis 4d, the vear closed with a balance of £215 Is, a loss of £ls 10s 4d, against a loss last year of £194 17s 8(1. There were 3,039 days of sickness or accident, and the claims amounted to £476 9s 2d. Funeral claims were £3O. The amounts paid out by the society since 1915 were: Sick and accident claims, £9,373 19s . lid ;. funeral claims, £l,o3o—making a total of £10,403 39s lid. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr John Hollick; vicepresident, Mr A. D. Scott; treasurer, Mr H. K. Lyon; secretary, Mr G. W. Hill; trustees, Messrs J. Read and A. Webster; auditors, Messrs W. Blair and C. Grav; committeeMisses V. Flood, M. Miller, Messrs P. Munn, J. Steel, C. Gray, A. Holley, J. Crawford, N. Lindsay, C. Belworthy, A. Webster; Roslyn and Kaikorai steward, Mr H. Frame; Mornington steward, Mr A. Smithsoii. It was decided to place on record an appreciation of the services of the retiring president, Mr P. 0. Munn.
