ST. LUKE'S CHURCH BAZAAR
A bazaar in aid of St. Luke's Church (Mosgiel) funds was successfully held in the parish hall as a closing item to the jubilee celebrations The function, which occupied the afternoon and evening, was organised by the Ladies' Guild, of which Miss C. Cheyne is secretary. Good business was done at well-stocked stalls. The stallholders were as follows:—Produce —Mesdames Walker, N. Campbell, and Stratton; cake, Mesdames Hamilton ami Dyer; sweets Mrs Williamson and Miss Tinuns; work Mrs Boyd and Miss Cheyne; tea rooms. Mrs Harrison and Mrs MeAusland; sideshows, Messrs Farrant and W. Campbell. A well-staged playette, produced by Mrs Williamson, brightened the evening" programme Those taking part were Misses Averiey Cheyfie, Gladys Roberts, and Mario Mail-head. Masters Harold Campbell and Bernard Williamson.
