PLANES FOR PACIFIC
TRICKLE NOW A STREAM NEW YORK, July 16. The Allied strength in the Pacific has undergone an extraordinary change during. tb.e past few months. This statement was made by Lieutenantgeneral Robert Richardson, commander of the Hawaiian Department of the United States army, to the Honolulu correspondent of the ' New York Times.' The trickle of planes which passed through Honolulu a year ago, he said, was now a stream, and in the not-too-distant future would he a torrent.
