LARGE DRAFT DUE TO-NIGHT FIVE HOSPITAL GASES About 60 sick and wounded soldiers from overseas will reach Dunedin by special train from the north to-night. There are five cases for admission to" Dunedin Hospital, the others being walking cases. Red Cross transport will be available to take the men to hospital and to their homes.

In order to prevent any congestion on the platform and to facilitate the speedy departure of the men from die station, access to the enclosure on the platform will be allowed only to next of kin (three in each ease) on production of the official telegram, and to representatives of such organisations as have received advice from the Army sick and wounded office. A car will be available for each man and his next of-kin, and it will assist in the smooth running of arrangements if these are made use of. Tne eot cases will be evacuated first. -No one will be allowed to enter the hospital rail cars unless permission is given by the medical officer in charge, as the care of the men is the first consideration. Five sick and wounded soldiers from overseas for the Southland district arrived at Dunedin this morning by the uight train from the north, and they were provided with hreakfast by the Army before leaving for the south by the morning express. The following men invalided home from overseas, all walking cases, who were taken to their homes by Red Cross transport, arrived at Dunedin by the express last night:—J. G. Hastie, ,W. P. Flyn, W. G. Orossan, . L. F. Bennett, C. E. Baines, E. Billington, M. A. Boyles, T. E. Bishop, C. W. Collie, J. D. Hollander, W. A. Torrance. S. A. Burns, L. G. Barnes, H. E. Hayward, G. F. Gillespie, N. M. McLaren, and J. Meleer.

The partv was welcomed at the station by' the Mavor (Mr A. H. Allen), the Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr X. D. Anderson), the president of the Dunedin U.S.A. (Mr C. R. McLean) and vice-president (Mr D. Forsyth), the secretary of the Otago Provincial Patriotic Council (Mr A. E. Russell),.and Messrs J. A, Peat and R. E. B. Johnstone (representing the 2nd N.2.E.F. Association). •'
