BYELGOROD AREA
RUSSIAN COUNTER-ATTACKS (Rec. noon.) RUGBY, July 14. Heavy Russian counter-attacks are being delivered in the area at the southern end of the Orel-Byel-gorod salient, and the Germans have been driven back from a number of positions into which they had made thrusts into the Russian lines. At the northern end of the salient fighting has died down. The German commander is regrouping his forces, and Moscow expects the attack to be renewed soon.
