INDUSTRIAL MAN POWER APPEALS
The Industrial Man Power Appeal Committee met this morning, Mr M. AV. Grantham (chairman) presiding. The aippeal of Alex. M. Jordan against refusal of permission to terminate employment at the Seacliff Mental Hospital (case heard at Seacliff yesterday afternoon) was not allowed. Andrew E. Nisbet's appeal against refusal- of permission to terminate employment at the same institution was reserved.
Bernard A. T. Henderson's appeal on similar grounds was not allowed. Miss Beatrice M. McKenzie appealed against refusal of permission to terminate employment with the Otago Hospital Board at- Logan Park as housemaid, she wishing to go to Kyeburn to keep house for her bachelor brother. Decision was reserved .until information regarding another arrangement can be made.
Mr James Poland? for J. Poland and Co., appealed against the direction that Kenneth Samson should accept employment with, his firm in the capacity of slaughterman on the grounds that his firm is already overstaffed.—Decision reserved until to-morrow.
