U.S. WAR EXPENDITURE
WASHINGTON, July 13. Representative Gannon, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, states that the Treasury expects that war expenditure, which averaged 90,000,000 dollars a day for the last three years, will reach 265,000,000 dollars a day from July 1. The actual expenditure on the war programme for the three vears ended July 1 was 104 421.000,000 dollars. It is expected th-it 97,000,000,000 dollars will he spent on war purposes in the current fiscal year, in addition to non-war expenditure amounting to 7,214,000,000 dollars.
