"V" SIGNS EVERYWHERE
ENTHUSIASM IN FRANCE MESSAGE FROM ALGIERS RADIO LONDON, July 13. Algiers radio says that a broadcast from the French underground station appealed to all Frenchmen to go out into the streets at 7.45 p.m. to-morrow. The broadcast declared that " this will be the last July 14 under oppression." July 14 is the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. The Madrid correspondent of the -' Daily Mail ' says the landings in Sicily have led to a■ wave of enthusiasm throughout France. This has heen shown in many places by the display of the Tricolour ostensibTv in preparation' for to-morrow. "V " signs are seen everywhere.
