MARTINIQUE JOINS ALLIES
VICHY GOVERNOR RESIGNS LONDON, July 14. Admiral Robert has given up his post as Vichy Governor for the island of Martinique, and has been succeeded by a member of the French Military Mission in the United States. His successor has stated that all the resources of Martinique and all the warships and merchant ships there will be placed at the disposal of the United Nations.
