IMTIBY. April 18.—Moscow messages outlining the results of the rci-fiit fighting state that after two weeks the battles on the west brink of the Doneiz southward of I/.yum ended with the Russians maintaining tlie advantage. Commenting to-day on recent criticism by Mr Justice Blair of the summary of the right-hand rule and oilier trafbc regulations issued, ihy the Transport Department, the "Minister of Transport. Mr o''Brion, ■pointed out that the summary was published six years ago. It was in tended to provide a .simple explanation of the traffic regulations, divorced from legal language so ns to be clearly understandable by the man in the street. Everyone was given a copy of the road code, and also received a copy of the regulations. The Minister added that he had been informed that the exact meaning of the regulation as it applied to vehicles turning nt an intersection had been the subject of several conflicting' decisions by magistrates, andtherefore it appeared that there certainly was room for difference of opinion. It also seemed most unlikely that any magistrate would be influenced in liis "Opinion by the view expressed in the publication. FiKJONOII IN TUNISIA. niIJOUY, April IS.—A French North African communique states: " Our troops continued their operations in the mountainous region southward of Punt du Fahs. In' several local engagements about 60 prisoners were captured. Our planes joined in the 'bomlbing of Tunis without suffering any losses."
