COMPANY DIRECTOR
21 YEARS FOR THEFTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 29.* A term of two and a-half years with hard labour was imposed by the Chief Justice on each of five charges (to be served concurrently) on Leonard Bowley Bolton-Moss. company director. "The judge remarked that though the .sum concerned in the five charges amounted to approximately £1.050. from the depositions it would appear that the real sum was something like £9,000. Mr Cunningham, for the Crown, said tltat some of that money was used for overhead expenses, although this was not authorised, and for paying the prisoner's salary. He had certainly used £3.000 for his own purposes.
