DEATH OF SAMOA CHIEF
GREAT BENEFACTOR TO HIS RAGE Press Association—Dy Telegraph—Copyright (Bee. 11.35 a.m.) APIA, Sept. 9, The death has occurred of Tuatagalua. high chief of the Falcalili District, Upoln. Ho died on Sunday, September G. He was believed to be over 80 years of age, and was tho faipulo of that district from 1919 until his death. He was a prominent worker for the health and education of Samoans, and gave land in Poutasi. his own village, for such purposes, which now is tho centre of such services. Throughout the Mau agitation he remained loyal to the Administration and frequently worked for reconciliation with opposition elements. He was also a member of the London .Mission Society Council.
