WAR CASUALTIES
TWO OTAGO MEN ON AIR LIST (P.A ) WELLINGTON, Sept. 9. ■ The following" R.N.Z.A.F. casualties were announced to-nighfc (the rank is sergeant unless otherwise stated): — Harrison, Frank Owen Holder, killed m air operation's; father, Mr I'. J> Harrison. Auckland. Strachan, David Findlay, died of natural causes; wife, Mrs D. F. Strachan, Auckland. The following casualties, which were previously reported, have boon reclassified Attwood, Flight-sergeant Dudley Wallace, of Ashburton, previously reported missing, now* reported a prisoner of war. Cmnniock, Vincent Patrick, of Ulamvoy, Alexandra road, Otago, previously reported missing, now reported missing, believed killed in action^ Jackson Alfred Thomas Briscoe, of 'England, previously reported missing, now reported a prisoner of war. Lament, Pilot-officer Allen Douglas Lewis, of Dunedin, previously reported missing. now reported a prisoner of war. Moore, Francis Perie George, of rlangarakau, previously reported missing, now reported missing, believed killed, in action. Partridge, t Frederick Stanley, of Greymouih/ previously reported missing, believed killed, death now presumed. Russell, Guy Baniaby, of Masterton, previously reported missing, now reported a prisoner of war. Sheppard. Pilot-officer Brentou Murray, of Auckland, previously reported missing, now reported a prisoner of war. Simich, Flight-lieutenant George Ronald, D.F.C. previously reported missing, now reported a prisoner of war. Stanford, Pilot-officer Kynastou John, of Marion, previously reported missing, now reported a prisoner -of war, KILLED IN ACTION In a list, issued to-night, the following member of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. is reported as killed in action: — Phillis, Gunner Eric; mother, Mrs G. Phillis, Christchurch.
