It has been decided that Red Cross voluntary aids serving in New Zealand and on hospital ships will,in future' come under the control of the Army Aledical Service, and no longer be incorporated with the Women’s AA r ar Service Auxiliary. This announcement was made by the Director-general of Army Medical Services, Brigadier F. .T. Bowcrbank, to the annual conference of the New Zealand Red Cross Society to-day. “ This is only a recent decision, and will later extend to the Aliddlo East,” Brigadier Bowerbauk said. •• They will be known as the AVomen’s Army Auxiliary Corps of Voluntary Aids, ami will wear the New Zealand Army Aledical Service gilt badge on the breast. The Red Cross brassard will be issued, and will be worn where necessary. They will also receive the normal medical Red Cross identity cards.”
