REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES To-day at Logan Dark two fixtures ’wore set down for play—Otago v. Southland, and a second Otago team met South Otago. The games opened in fine weather, but under windy conditions. There was a fair attendance of onlookers; The following were the results of the morning’s play (Otago names first): OTAGO v. SOUTHLAND. —Combined Doubles.— S. Falconer and Miss Kerr beat B. Whelan and Miss Barrett, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5; R. Sincock and Mrs Rawlinson beat D. Radford and Mrs Alexander, 6-2, 7-5; A. Cameron and Mrs Foxcroft beat A. J. Dcaker and Miss Cutt, 6-3, C-2; L. Facer and Mrs Borthwick beat D. S, McLeod and Miss Ferguson, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2; R. Wilson and Miss Gray lost to F. Lindsay and Miss Morton, 4-G, 6-3, 3- G. Dwan and Miss Jolly beat D. Taylor and Miss Mclntosh, 6-1, 6-4. OTAGO v. SOUTH OTAGO. .—Men’s Singles.— L. Colbert lost to L. Haig, 3-G, 3-G; D. Campbell beat G. Manchester, 6-1, 6-0; S. Gourley beat J. Clemens, 6-3, 4- 6-3; K. Skinner beat A. Broad, 6-4, 6-2; M. McKinnon lost to O. Robinson, 1-6, 4-6; R. Crawford beat E. Rotting, 2-G, 6-3. —Women’s Singles.— Mrs Clarke beat Miss D. Dellow, 6-3, 6-4; Miss M. Spackman beat Mrs Homan. 6-1, 6-2; Mrs Gilkinson beat Miss C. Dunn, 6-1, 6-2; Miss C.
