RUBBER FAMINE
NO TYRES FOR AMERICA'S 30,000,000 GARS WASHINGTON, (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) March 5. The extreme seriousness of the rubber situation was emphasised by Mr Henderson Price, administrator and director of civilian supplies, when he told the Senate Committee that not a single pound of crude rubber would be available for new tyres or retreads on upwards of 30,000,000 private cars in the United States.
