NATIONAL CONCERT

DUNEDIN BUNNS CLUB The Concert Chamber of the Town Hall was well filled last evening when tho Dunedin Burns Club presented its monthly concert, the president, Mr Arthur "Macdonald, being in the chair. A feature of tho evening was an interesting travel talk given by Mr Thomas Bitchie, entitled ‘ Meandering Around tho Empire and Burns s Countrv.’ Tho speaker described Ins journey to London, touching on the traditions of the city, concluding with a graphic word picture of Scotland and AY ales. . The musical programme was as follows : Opening ode, ‘ Star o’ Bobbie Burns ’; pipe selection, Piper J. MoYean; song, ‘ Land of My Fathers. Miss Eileen Gillies; song, ‘ Braw, Braw Lads o’ Yarrow Braes,’ Miss Betty Nicolls; song, ‘ Tho Battle of Stirling. Mrs Alex. Chisholm; song, ‘ The Standard on the Braes o’ Mar,’ Mr Jas. Paterson; song,' 4 Lochnagar, Miss Gillies; song, 4 Bonnie Banks o Loch Lomond,’ Mrs Alex. Chisholm; song. 4 My Nannie’s AwaV Mr Jas- Patera son; song, ‘Flow Gently, Sweet Alton,’ Mr Aubrey Clark; song, Ap Fond Kiss,’ Miss Betty Nicolls; dance, scan triubhais, Misses Isabel Cray and Shirley Smith; song, ‘To Mary in Heaven.’ Mr Aubrey Clark; song, ‘Scots AVha’ Hac,’ Mr Jas.
