OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION TWO DUNEDIN DEATHS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. The following casualties to members of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force were announced to-night, the rank being private unless otherwise indicated: — —Killed in action (previously reported missing, believed tilled) — Newlands, Lieutenant John Warrington; wife, Mrs J. E. Newlands, Dunedin. Crothers, Alexander Pattison Mackie; father, Mr J. Crothers, Gisborne, Spillane, Francis Edward; mother, Mrs F. Spillane, Temuka. Theobald, Rudolph Manuel; mother, Mrs C. E. Theobald, Ngaruawahia. Tomlinson, Temporary Corporal William Douglas; mother, Mrs A. J. Tomlinson, Frankton Junction. —Prisoner of War (previously reported wounded and missing)— Lamb, John Edward William; wife, Mrs Y. E. Lamb, Melbourne. —Prisoner of war (previously reported missing) Johnson, Lance-corporal Alan Walter; wife, Mrs M, J. Johnson, Hamilton. AIR FORGE LIST The following Air Force casualties were announced to-day:-Eocles, Pilot-officer Raymond Gordon, E.N.Z.A.F.; previously reported missing, believed killed, death now officially presumed to have occurred in May; mother Mrs R. Eccles, Dunedin. Renolds, Pilot-officer Lindsay Blair, R.N.Z.A.F.; seriously injured in air operations; mother, Mrs D. Renolds, To Awamutu. Kronfeld, Sergeant Andrew Samuel, R.N.Z.A.F.; slightly injured on air operations, father. Mr F. Kronfeld, Auckland. Brownlie, Sergeant William, R.N.Z.A.F.; killed in aircraft accident; mother, Mrs A. K. Brownlie, Christchurch. Miller Flying-officer Malcolm James, R.A.F.; missin; in air operations; father. Mr M. J. Miller, Christchurch. Caltell, Sergeant James Clark, R.N.Z.A.F.; previously reported missing, believed killed, death now officially presumed to have occurred in April; mother, Mrs F. E. Cattell, Wellington. Knight, Pilot-officer John Frederick, R.N.Z.A.F.; previously reported missing, now reported missing, believed prisoner of war; father, Mr F. Knight, Awhitu, Auckland.
