EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS
TRANSPORT SECTION All arrangements have been completed for tho full-day exercises tomorrow, when the unit will act in cooperation with Nos. 2 and 3 Battalions of tho Home Guard. Should the parade be canlcellcd on account of bad weather an announcement will be made over -JZB at 8 a.m. and again at B.JO a.in. No spare drivers will «be carried in troop-carrying vehicles, and spare drivers are asked to assemble at 9.30 in High street, opposite Broadway. The supply section of the E.P.S. will be at the vehicle park at Wharc Flat and will provide tea* sugar, and milk, but all drivers will have to bring their own cups and rations. An ambulance unit, provided by tho Red Cross section, will accompany the convoy, as will also a break-down lorry and eight despatch riders on motor cycles. The transport section of the W.W.S.A., consisting of some 40 cars, with drivers, will be part of the convoy and will take part in the exercises. The meeting places and parade times of tho E.P.S. Transport arc as follows: —A section, Logan Park, 8.30 a.m. (21 cars); 15 section. North Ground. 8.45 a.m. (12 cars) ; C section, Burns street, 8.30 a.m. (26 cars) ; D section. Duff’s garage, Mornington, 9 a.m. (23 cars) ; £ section, Crawford street, 9 a.m. (14 cars). Petrol chits will be issued at Whare Flat., Drivers arc reminded of the smoko concert which is being held to-night. Tho display of transport and infantry drill by a sub-section of the W.W.S.A. was the highlight of last Sunday’s parade. Their precision of movement and perfect timing in carrying out Sergeant Jolly’s orders won well-deserved applause from the male members of the E.P.S. transport section.
