OTAGO BRANCH MEETS Mr 0. J. Doidgo presided at the monthly meeting of the Otago branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers. An interesting address was'given by Mr G. S Doig on the latest practice in live line maintenance on the extra high tension electr'o transmission lines. Ho said that the continuity of the supply of electricity depended considerably on the methods adopted in detecting faults and remedying them Hia address was well demonstrated by the use of tools, and illustrated by diagrams and photographs.
