DOMINION MESSAGE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct 2. Applause from both sides of the House greeted a statement by the Prime Minister, Mr-Fraser, this afternoon that it would, certainly be voicing the sentiments of the House and the country if a message were sent to the heroic defenders of Tobruk. The matter was raised when the- House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. to-day by an urgent question to the Prime Minister from Mr Wilkinson, who inquired if Mr Fraser would consider submitting to Parliament an appropriate goodwill message to the heroic garrison defending Tobruk, including an expression of New Zealand’s unbounded admiration for their long continued and glorious defence of this outpost of Empire. Mr Fraser, in his reply, said it would give him a great deal of pride to send, the message.
