REV. K. A. BELL Before a large attendance, presided over by the Rev. J. W. Harris, of Moray Place Church, the induction to the charge of United Congregational Church, Albany street, of the Rev. Kenneth A. Bell took place last evening. Following devotional exercises, the secretary of the church, Mr E. E. Wilkinson, outlined the steps which led to the call. Mr Bell indicated the circumstances which prompted his acceptance. The presiding minister then performed the induction ceremony ami delivered the charge to the new minister and the church. The induction prayer, by the Rev. J. S. Pate, of Kavtuis-

bourne and Port Chalmers Congregational Churches, followed. A welcome social, at which Mr Joseph Abornethy, senior older, presided, was held after the induction. Words of welcome to Mr Bell and his wife and child were spoken by the chairman. Rev. J S. Pate (for sister churches), Mr E. E. Wilkinson and Mr Ronald Munro (on behalf of the young people). Stress was laid, upon the circumstance that, young themselves, they were coming to a church in which their predecessor had developed a healthy youth work, and confidence was expressed that they would build solidly on that foundation. Mr Bell returned sincere thanks for the generous welcome extended. Mr John Leech and Miss Dorothy Barron, with Mrs Leech as accompanist, furnished the musical feature of the evening.
