MORNINGTON CRICKET CLUB
The sixth annual meeting of Mornington Cricket Club was held yesterday, the president, Mr J. Hope, presiding over a good attendance of members.
Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the Chairman congratulated the club ou the performances of both teams. He also congratulated those players whose names appeared among the leading batting and bowling averages. The election of officers and delegates resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr E. E. Nicolson; president, Mr J. Hope; auditor, Mr G. E. Lang; secretary, Mr E. Dennison; treasurer, Mr H. W. Grimmeft; committee —Messrs Mitchell, Waller, .lelley, and C. Robertson: club captain, A. Steven; deputycaptain, R. Whale; delegate to Otago Cricket Association. Mr Waller; delegate to Otago Junior Cricket Council, Mr R. Whale; selectors, Messrs IT. W. Grimmett, 'Mitchell, A. E. Jelley. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 11, at the Mornington ground.
