FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING
This,week’s sing, which is the twentysecond "of the season, will he held in the Strand ’. Theatre, , commencing at noon. Special, attraction will be the appearance of Mr Arthur Macdonald, who will sing ‘ When- the Sergeant-major’s On Parade,’ ‘The Army, the Navy, the Air Force,’ ‘Road to the Isles.’ Mr H. P. Desmoulins will recite Miss Victoria Hughes’s ‘Britain’s Heroes.’ Proceeds are for -the Patriotic Funds, and donations can be sent to Mr J. Himburg, care.of Begg’s. For sale will be a ..baby’s white woollen outfit. Leader is Mr H. P. Desmoulins; at the piano, Mr Alf.Pettitt. Mrs M‘lntyrc, who is in charge of the stall,' would be pleased to receive flowers and goods.
