NATIONAL SAVINGS
THE FLAG COMPETITION (Special.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. Three changes took place in the leading towns in the national savings Hag competition during the fortnightly period which ended on September 23. Kaikohe, in the Auckland district, replaces Dargaville; Waverley, in the Wanganui district, achieves pride of place over Ohakune; and Opunake, in the New Plymouth district, lias taken the load from Stratford. Dominion leadership is shared between Riverton and Queenstown, both in the Invercargill district, each' town having recorded 100 per cent, of depositors to population. Tuatapere (also in the Invercargill district) occupies third place for the Dominion. The leading towns are as follows (postal districts in parentheses) Kaikohe (Auckland), Picton (Blenheim), Kaiapoi (Christchurch), Owaka (Dunedin). Opotiki (Gisborne), Hokitika 1 (Grevmouth), Rotorua (Hamilton), Tuatapere (Invercargill), Taradale (Napier), Wakefield (Nelson), Opunake
