Expert opinion limits the Epsom to High Caste, Rimvcil, Evergreen, and Freckles; but the Metropolitan is regarded as much more open; while the Derby is one of the most obscure for years. . The Melbourneowned Laureate is talked of as the most likely winner of the Derby. The leading Melbourne jockey, Badger, has been enrraaed to ride Rimveil in the Epsom. The owner-trainer, Mr 11. Bamber, greatly fancies Rivette’s prospects of winning her second Caulfield Cup. Beau Vile ranks high for the Melbourne Cup.
