HOSPITAL SHIP ORANJE
MARKED BY THE HUN AS A VICTIM? ALLEGEDLY A TROOP TRANSPORT (Rec. 1 p.m.) BATAVIA, Sept. 15. The ‘ Java Bode ’ says diplomatic relations will soon bo established between Australia and the Netherlands. German reports allege that the motor ship Oranje has been reconstructed in Sydney ns a troop transport. Official circles in Batavia point out that the Oranje is only serving as a hospital ship for wounded Anzacs, and it is believed that the report was possibly spread in order to furnish a pretext to torpedo the Oranje. TO SAIL FOR SYDNEY RUSSIAN SHIPS IN THE EAST ROMS RADIO ANNOUNCEMENT (Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 15. The Rome radio stated that Russian ships anchored in Bangkok, Hongkong, and the Philippines have been ordered to sail for Sydney.
