ELSOM.—On August 25, 1941, at Palmerston, Lucy (Tot), beloved elder daughter of the late James William and Julia Elsom, of Mansfotd Town, Port Chalmers. “At rest.”—The Funeral will leave the Anglican Church, Port Chalmers, To-morrow (Wednesday), the 27th inst, at the conclusion of a service commencing at 2.30 p.m., for the Port Chalmers Cemetery.—R. M'Lean ond Son, funeral directors. WHELAN. —On August 25, at the Lawrence Hospital, Emily Margaret, beloved wife of John Whelan, of Waitahuna; in her sixty-fifth year. R.I.P. Beighton, R.N.R., only eon of the late John Heighten, Roxburgh, Otago, and loved brother of the late Miss A. M. Beighton, also Mcsdames M. L. Jeffery, Roxburgh, and C. A. Henderson, Hataitai, Wellington.— ‘‘ Died in the service of his country.”
