Daily Intercession
And Jesus said, young man, I say unto thee, arise. . . And He delivered him to his mother.—(Luke vii.: 14, 15.)
Our Father, Whose compassions jail not, we would at this time, when so many hearts in our midst are visited with a great sorrow became of war, pray for the mother, sister, wife, and loved one, who have received sad news from afar, and who will not now have the joy and comfort of welcoming back their dead. “ As one whom his own mother comforteth, so tvill I comfort you, saith the Lord.” When the disciples of John the Baptist sorrowed over the dead body of their leader, they went arid told Jesits. May we do the same, and leave with Him 'the sorrow, and carry away the song, in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, — Amen.
