VICHY'S FULL SURRENDER DARLAN APPEALS FOR LESS CRITICISM (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. noon.) . RUGBY, June 10, Admiral Darian, broadcasting, announced that the French Government was preparing a separate peace, hoping to create favourable conditions without waiting for the war’s end. He made no mention of the British in Syria. In the course of his speech Darian made an appeal to the French people to stop criticising the Vichy Government’s actions.
