A GENERAL RATE, under Section 77 of " The Municipal Corporations Act. 1933,” of TWO SHILLINGS AND TWO FENCE (2s 2d) IN THE POUND (£) upon the value of the rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the lime being in force in the Borough of Green Island. ■ 2. A SEPARATE RATE, to bo known ns the HOSPITAL BATE, under Section 52 of “ The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” of SIX PENCE (6d) IN THE POUND (£) upon the value of the rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Borough of Green Island. 3. WATER RATES, under Section 82 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” in respect to the ordinary supply as follows, that is to say:— Upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, the rateable value of which on the Valuation Roll does not exceed £l2 10s, a RATE OF TEN SHILLINGS (10s); exceeds £l2 10s; a RATE OF THREE AND THREEQUARTERS PER CENTUM (3J Per Cent.) or NINEPENCE (9d) IN THE POUND (£) on such value. Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks, and upon all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purpose other than as dwelling houses, a RATE OF ONEHALP OP THE RATES abovementioned.

SANITATION FEES, under Section 90 of ’ “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933 (a) (b) A FEE OF TWENTY-EIGHT SHILLINGS (235) PER ANNUM for the lirst pan and thereafter FIVE SHILLINGS (ss) per annum for every additional pan for the removal of night soil, on all buildings used for the purpose of dwelling houses to which such service can bo given. A FEE OF TWENTY-EIGHT SHILLINGS (28s) PER ANNUM for the first pan and thereafter TEN SHILLINGS (10s) per annum for every additional pan, for the removal of nightsoil, on all buildings used as stores or warehouses, or for any purpose other than as dwelling houses to which such service can be given. The above RATES AND FEES are PAYABLE IN ONE SUM and in each case on the sth day of AUGUST. 1941, at the Office of the Green Island Borough Council, 222 Main South road, Green Island, and an ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF TEN PER CENTUM (10 per cent.), provided for by Section 76 of “ Tiie Rating Act, 1925, wjll he imposed on all such RATES AND FEES remaining unpaid after the sth day of FEBRUARY, 1942. , And Further Public Notice Is Hereby Given that, pursuant to the powers vested in it bv Section 64 of ’ The Rating Act, 1025,” and in pursuance of a Resolution passed at a Special Meeting of the Green Island Borough Council, held on the 3rd day of June, 1941.
